Why We Love Fitting Ricosta Shoes at North Shoes
There’s nothing better than slipping into a pair of shoes that fit just right. At North Shoes, we’ve been fitting Ricosta shoes for over 30 years, and they’ve become a firm favourite in our store. Known for their exceptional quality, support, and comfort, Ricosta shoes are a reliable choice for comfortable kids’ footwear.
Expert Shoe Fitting for Growing Feet
Children’s feet are constantly growing, which is why we recommend a fit check every two to three months. Helping you find the perfect fit is what we love most, and our team is always ready to provide expert shoe fitting advice.
Stopping by for a quick check doesn’t mean you have to buy new shoes. Our fitters will assess your child’s current footwear and advise whether it’s still suitable. A good fit isn’t just about length — it’s also about the shoe’s width and depth, both of which are vital for healthy foot development and long-lasting comfort.
Measuring at Home
We always recommend getting your child’s feet measured by a professional in-store, but we understand that’s not always possible. That’s why we offer a printable measuring guide to help you get started at home. However, keep in mind that every shoe fits differently, so use this as a general guide rather than a definitive solution.
Finding the Perfect Fit
To suit the variety of growing feet, we stock Ricosta shoes in both Medium and Wide fittings, which cover the most common needs. Keep in mind that not all styles are available in both widths, so check the fitting details on our product pages before buying.

Ricosta Shoe Sizes: A Practical Guide for Children's Shoes
Finding the perfect fit for your child's shoes is essential, and we're here to make it simple. To ensure growing feet get the support they need, we've created this easy-to-use children's shoe size guide.
Our collection of Ricosta shoes caters to all stages of growth, with sizes ranging from a tiny EU 18 to a roomy EU 43.
How to Use the Size Chart
Accurate measurements are key to your child's foot health and comfort. Our size chart includes UK, USA, and EU size equivalents, along with corresponding foot lengths in centimetres.
Since children's feet grow quickly, we recommend choosing the next size up if your child's foot length is within 2mm of the upper limit for a size. This ensures extra room for movement and healthy growth.
Measuring Tips and Examples
To measure your child's feet at home, place the foot flat and measure from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe on the larger foot. Here's how our 2mm recommendation works:
• If the largest foot measures 19.4 cm, start with an EU 32.
• If the largest foot measures 19.2 cm, choose an EU 31.
The right shoes can make a big difference in your child's comfort and confidence and we're here to help you find the perfect pair!
